Chrome > Settings > Advanced > Reset > Click Reset.

 

This will reset chrome to it's factory default state.

then go to chrome > settings> manage start-up pages > and remove yeadesktop.com from the list and set to 'open the new tab page' or google.com

when i try to install it, it says "this program has been blocked for your protection"

Then you're gonna want to look up how to create a Kaspersky rescue disk, not sure if Malwarebytes also supports it. It's essentially a USB thumb drive with an OS and antivirus or Anti-Malware executables that will update their database and scan your computer.

That's highly suspicious and backs up the malware theory imo.  Anything stopping you from installing malwarebytes - a program that gets rid of malware - is obviously up to no good.

Do you have another computer or a way to download a bootable media?  You'll want to get one to scan & clean and/or reinstall your main system.
