Better screen, bigger battery, more RAM (I think)

I ride to places most the time so would you recommend it for that

It depends on whether or not you're going to want your phone with you when you arrive.  If you're commuting and you're still going to want a phone on the other end of the trip, then the non-cellular Series 3 will be fine.  But if you're going on frequent fitness/pleasure rides and the phone is a genuine annoyance?  Then certainly think about going cellular.  Just make sure your carrier supports adding the Watch to your plan.

As for your config: I think that's fine, but do try on a 38mm Watch (at an Apple Store if one is nearby) first.  It'll look fine on most wrists, but some prefer the 42mm model's bigger screen.

I have never owned these devices, but I personally wouldn't get an SE after having owned that formfactor, and after that the 7 and 8+. I personally prefer a big screen. About the laptop, it's fine if all you do is browse the web, but it's very underpowered for its price.

The macbook is already 1900 AUD. A macbook air starts at 1500, and the iPhone SE starts at 550.

Would an iPhone 8 and a cheap windows laptop be a decent combo? I am just in the market for a fast phone and good laptop for school
