Hey guys, I have a gtx 1060, and an i5 6600. I'm at a crossroad rn because I can upgrade to a full tower get a silent noctua cooler, upgrade to 24 gb of ram and get another ssd or storage. My other thoughts are building in the node 202 but I know all the trade offs with both. Mostly the big pro/con would be portability that wont be a huge concern but its so nice. my upgrade budget is 300$ solid might have some wiggle room. this is my thought right now, Im set on the cooler because of a ltt video about water vs air and this beat out a few watercoolers and you dont have points of failure. S340 is a nice case if you think I should do anything else thats cool. I want to have more ram just so I can be future proofed and ssd space is good. Thoughts?

Add 8GB RAM and maybe a hard drive and save the rest for a new CPU/GPU purchase

I wouldn't go with a full tower, they're much too clunky in my opinion.

im using a carbide air 240 right now if I were to buy a 6700k for 310$ then I could save a tad more and buy a noctua tower cooler and a mid tower with support for the cooling. My b150m motherboard is an experimental bios so it can oc, its micro atx.

I can pawn off my 6600 + mobo in order to get a new mobo and a little cash

Do you live near a microcenter?  If so you can get a 5820K/6800K + X99 board pretty cheap (totally within budget)

  2. Buy X99 board, base model X99 i7 (5820k or 6800k) a new case and a new CPU cooler
  3. Save for a 2070+

  1. Letgo, ebay, gumtree, craigslist - all work
  2. HOLY BALLZ YES GET IT.  Sabertooth is one of the nicest and I repeat NICEST boards on the platform, you could probably OC a 5820k to 4.5Ghz+ on that baby.

What pins are bent?
