That cpu should be fine I'd just hang on to the money for a while.  Ryzen would be a 200+ upgrade because it's a different platform and the next best intel processor i would buy would be a i7 7700

Try using the PSU Tier List!

How to reset the bios/clear the cmos

My current rig:

CPU: Ryzen 7 3700x

Ram: 1x16gb DDR4, 2x8gb DDR4

Storage: 1tb nvme ssd

GPU: gtx 3080

Monitor: 23.8" Dell S2417DG 144hz g-sync 1440p + 27" Acer S271HL 60 Hz 1080p

Keyboard: ducky one I | I SF

Mouse: gpro wireless | glorious model o2 wireless

Sound : beyerdynamic 1990 pro | Monoprice liquid spark (amp) + topping d10 (dac)

A g4560 can run pubg(only costs 60) other than that an i7 6700 non k would be a good upgrade.

Want to custom loop?  Ask me more if you are curious

In terms of intel processors, an i7 7700 (non-K) would be a good upgrade.

not the problem of wattage, but the parts inside. Low wattage TR2 dont last long and seemed to lack many (if there is any) protection design.

You would need a new motherboard

Coffee lake won't even use lga 1151..... @Cookieontherun Save another 20$ and then get a b350 motherboard and a r3 1200, lga 1151 isn't worth staying with at this point, and you could probably get 100$ back after selling your old cpu and mobo.
