my cpu usage and ram usage are always around 10-20% also when i drag something over to my other monitor i get a blank screen for a few seconds like when using Full screen in a video game. And switching from tab to tab there seems to be a slight delay like it's lagging

Worse comes to worse, back up your files and reinstall your OS.

Or switch to a different browser.

Come Bloody Angel

Break off your chains

And look what I've found in the dirt.

Pale battered body

Seems she was struggling

Something is wrong with this world.

Fierce Bloody Angel

The blood is on your hands

Why did you come to this world?

Everybody turns to dust.

Everybody turns to dust.

The blood is on your hands.

The blood is on your hands!

Pyo.

I think its the latest update.

Started being slow for me too yesterday (ryzen + 1070 rig). The bookmarks bar changed slightly at the same time as it started running slow.

It runs fine on my laptop which is still using the old version. The bookmarks bar hasn't changed, and looking at the help--> about chrome tab, it tells me I need to relaunch to finish updating. My desktop says it is up to date.

Won't be doing that update anytime soon!!!

Update: It was the latest update (for me at least). I copied the old files from my laptop to my desktop and it sorted the problem out.

I then deleted the downloaded update files on my laptop and disabled the auto-update functionality on both machines.

I can tell you what I did to sort it out, and provide the files I used if you want, or look online for a chrome version 60.0.3112.113 installer.

Maybe you need one more ssd driver.

SSD drivers are not an issue for me. I have all the latest drivers installed, and the rest of the system is blazing fast. Only switching chrome tabs was slow.

There are a few reports of this issue on the google product forums (with less than helpful answers).

Make sure after you have downgraded, that you disable auto updates.

Otherwise guess what...

I disabled the google update services and renamed the updater folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\..... can't remember exactly.

That would be good to test. Also your issue with the monitors, make sure your second monitor is running at the default resolution and that the cables are properly connected. Also sometimes cheap cables can cause issues with signal integrity.
