How the hell do I use CUDAMiner?

So, I downloaded CUDA Miner, but something dawned upon me. I have no idea how the hell to use it. So, how do I start mining?

The way you use cudaminer is you look at your hashrate, throw up in disgust, then sell the 770 for an amd 280x with better performance and triple the hash rate.

I am impelled not to squeak like a grateful and frightened mouse, but to roar...

But seriously, NVIDIA are bad miners, don't know the difference with CUDAMiner though...

Well, let's see. 770s on average can pull 260-280 kH/s while the R9 280Xes pull about 680-720 kH/s. So, you may have been right about the triple hashrate. BUT, the 770 and R9 280X perform about the same, with the 280X pulling ahead in some games and the 770 pulling ahead in others. I chose a 770 not because of Green Team but because I saw it as a better value. It came with some games, had NVIDIA Shield compatibility, had better coolers at the time, the 280X hadn't existed and the 7970s were all ugly or thick.

Hello!

Just a little question to the post 'How I got it working' from manofcolombia.

I followed your step by step instruction as in the video.

But when I start the 'proxy.bat' my Command Prompt tells me this ERROR:

post-58006-0-73773800-1392072341.jpg

Line 5: ERROR proxy mining_proxy.main # Stratum host/port autodetection failed.

What have I done wrong? Do I have to change the pool or change the proxy settings in the file 'mining_proxy.exe' ?

Please help! I'm a beginner in mining...

You have to download the stratum proxy at the bottom of this page. Run the proxy first, then cudaminer.

No, this didn't solve the problem. Manofcolumbia also doesn't have the stratum_proxy in his files (watch the video).

If I start the stratum_proxy and then cudaminer it shows this ERROR in the cmd:

What exactly have you entered into your .bat file so far? Your img there seems to show that you did not create the .bat but instead ran cudaminer.exe (which will not work)

How did you manage to do that? I can not seem to think of a way unless you were not breaking even on the energy cost.

CPU mining is not exactly mining negatively. Just at a certain point you are never going to make a large profit. (that is unless you are running server grade quad CPUs, but you would not make the cost of the equipment back. But it is a good use compared to FAH or Boinc, as you get something of value back).

You are more than welcome to feel that way. That is as long as you are not saying all miners are beggers.

As stated above it looks like you didn't even edit the cudaminer .bat file. You just ran the exe. Read this

Does anyone know what this means?

Geforce GTX 275 result does not validate on CPU (i=2563, s=0)!

I'm running a nvidia geforce gtx 275.

I set the .bat file to: cudaminer.exe -H 1 -i 0 -l L8x32 -C 2 -o stratum+tcp://url:port -O workername:workerpass

Look at the khash/s !!! Amazing!!!

But what's the problem?
