AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and GTX 1070 build

Budget: 1500$ USD

Aim: Gaming, rendering in DaVinci Resolve and Blender, streaming and recording with OBS, and Visual Studio coding.

Monitors: Dell UP3017 2560x1600 and maybe a 1080p in the future.

Peripherals: Corsair STRAFE RGB MX Brown, already owned, Corsair M65 PRO RGB, already owned, and Corsair MM800, already owned., using CUE to change and sync RGB.

Why?: I am running on a Asus ROG GL502VS Skylake edition, GTX 1070 laptop and DRR4 2133MHZ.

I will not change the case. I might be able to steal the M.2 nvme drive from my old laptop if I so need to.

Eh the cooler is alright but the 1600x is not worth the extra $20 because you can overclock the 1600 to the same speeds easily

Provided you are confortable overclocking the cpu which not everyone is. Also Davinci Resolve is ill-equipped to utilize mire than 4c/8t.  Adobe would be the better choice for that.

B: I have no use for a 1TB internal drive Capture.PNG.33d34da7a865f57bbf2e5b99a44e0d7e.PNG

C: I have built with a non modular PSU and I NEED modular, https://pcpartpicker.com/b/zsKBD3,

D: I'd rather have 6c/12t and 3.5Ghz over 8 Cores ik ik that sounds weird.

Are you already using ryzen? All I meant was that you won't see significent performance gains when using ryzen 5 compared to intel I7-7700k for example at least from what I've heard.

You're joking, right? The G Series is a bit old, but the Focus Plus Gold is as good as EVGA's G3 or Corsair's RMx. Seasonic is one of, if not the most reputable brand to get PSUs from.
