Posted September 23, 2017 These are the specs on that thunderbolt card: not sure if that's a hard compatibility spec, or just a "we only tested on these boards" QUOTE/TAG ME WHEN REPLYING Spend As Much Time Writing Your Question As You Want Me To Spend Responding To It. Posted November 13, 2017 Im curious about this also. Im using an iMac currently (an old one, pre thunderbolt 1) and spending money on a new one is not economically viable for me. Im curious about using a bifurcated PCIE riser to run one on an M-ITX board.

It requires a TB header on the motherboard. The compatibility list is basically a list of motherboards from ASUS sporting that header.
 You need a thunderbolt header and right now, Thunderbolt is limited to Intel only.
 Also, I own the ASRock Thunderbolt 3 card and the Thunderbolt 3 implementation in Windows is buggy. Like if you go to sleep, Windows forgets your Thunderbolt devices until you unplug and replug the Thunderbolt cable.
 It still is Ryzen, but the pinout and the chipset are comletely different from a Ryzen 3-
