So I have had this issue before were only youtube vidoes would buffer when they play in hd, im not sure why this happens when i know my internet speed can easily handle this. It played vidoes in hd fine with out any issues and all of a sudden it just buffers. I have looked for many solutions regarding this, after a while i gave up and just started fresh with a windows installation. it fixed the issue and all was fine and now the issue has returned after some time and it is very frustrating. My internet provider is spectrum (used to be called Time warner). This is really irritible and would appreciate the help to resolve this if at all possible thank you. Here are some of the results about my speeds and this only happens with youtube.

What is your CPU? I used to not be able to buffer 1080p on 500/100 with a Core2Duo

Specs:

 Gaming PC: i5 3570, 16GB 1600MHz, GTX 780 3GB, Transcend 128GB, WD 500GB, Seagate 500GB, Thermaltake 600W Smart, S340 w/ RGB, Windows 10 Pro

 Server: Xeon E5 2650, 12GB 1600MHz ECC, 8400GS, WD 2TB + 1TB + 1TB, EVGA 500B 500W, Windows 10 Pro

 Laptop: Macbook Pro Retina 2013, i7 4558U, 8GB 1600MHz, Intel Iris Pro 1.5GB, Apple 256GB NVME, Mojave

 Internet: $70/month For 500/100, Actually get 525/102

Ryzen 5 1500x and a rx 480. Put the pc together my self.

Oh nevermind, not a CPU issue. The only thing i can think of is RAM? Do you have more or equal to 8gb? Is it fast?

Do it anyway.

His computer isn't your computer.

Were and if i can find these options i have a netgear router.

Not sure, I have DDWRT installed on mine. Not all routers have QoS options or the options they have suck. Id advise you to check the documentation with your router.

You can go here and run the test to see how bad your buffer bloat is: https://www.dslreports.com/speedtest

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

Thats funny because I use uBlock and Ad Block. No issues here. Fuck advertisers.

You can also right click on the video player area in YouTube and select "Stats for nerds" to get an idea of how your network performance is on YouTube.

This is with ublock enabled, it almost buffered on a 57 second video.
