Gamer Health

Since most of our activities involves sitting, less physical movement and unhealthy lifestyle. We all know that we have brothers and sisters in the gaming community who suffered the consequences.

I am a FPS and retro gamer. I personally eat food that's high in fiber like oats, salads and do atleast 5km bike ride to keep the blood flowing.

If you're sitting at a desk playing games enough that it's actually a health risk then I think gaming has moved past a hobby and into a lifestyle. I myself play lots of games, but it really shouldn't be taking so much of the rest of your life away.

I find myself to be quite sensitive to blue light in terms of eye fatigue and sleep quality so using f.lux helps me a lot and I exercise lots too

That's an F in the profile pic

I am also in marching band. Strengthens my arms because I have to hold up a 12ish pound instrument at and above my head level for 2 hours a day, 4 days a week, including performance. I also mountain bike Wednesdays and Sundays, for about 6-8 miles each time. When Marching band ends, I will go onto swimming.

i like trains 🙂

I don't really sit at my desk anyone, used to do it all the time, having a small curve in my back cause of it but if I keep it straight it will fix it.

I sit too much, but the whole weight thing has always been an issue. But to say a lot of sitting hasn't compounded it would not true.

I'm looking at maybe joining a gym again and then working on eating healthier.

My job as a Groundskeeper means I usually walking 2 to 5 miles a day but I have no problem sitting at my rig for 12 to 18 hours with minimal breaks on my days off.

In general  not snacking on my days off is how control my weight gain.

I'd say just get up and move quite often. And also do some sort of exercise each week. Preferably at least 3 times a week. Humans weren't designed to sit down and do nothing physically all day. Also quite important if you use a mouse a lot, to have a decent wrist position. Don't bend the wrist up or down too much. Adjust your chair or table height so it's aligned with your wrist.
