I've been extremely interested in pc gaming recently as I was once a console pleb. My budget is around 2100 for the pc, monitor, and keyboard. I'm going to be waiting till October for coffee lake to drop and pick up the 8700K but for now I have it as 7700K and 1080. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ZyWg9W

I plan on upgrading the monitor to a 144hz 1440p 27 inch later on but for now I'm fine with a cheap 1080p to hold me off till I can upgrade.

I'm open to changing most things. I have to also keep in mind the tax which would be around 152$ at the moment. Again, my budget is around 2100 for the pc, monitor, and keyboard. If anyone has any suggestions or doesn't mind making a whole new build while staying in budget I'd gladly appreciate it.

Edit: I also plan on upgrading to the 1080Ti later on but at the moment it is way too expensive.

Looks good. One thing I'd change is the power supply; I'd rather get the BitFenix Whisper M or the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold since the fan profile on the EVGA G3 is stupidly aggressive.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

forgot to add in one thing.. i would get a 120mm AIO for your cpu.

its the same price and would reduce fan noise

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zQRrKZ imo the gigabyte 1080 looks crappy, I like the look the evga's and they overclock well.  Changed the hdd to a higer performance wd black and the case could be changed too.  Put a 850w (overkill a bit) 80+ gold fully modular seasonic psu also

🙂

Uhh the dark rock 3 is probably better at cooling than a 120mm aio

Was planning on getting the kraken x62 later on. Quick question, whats the difference between the X62 Rev 2 and the X62? I never understood that. X62 is around 200$ while the Rev 2 is only 160.

120mm AIOs are louder and perform worse than the Dark Rock 3.

Why a 850W? Is there any point in going that overkill?

If you ever would like to sli the 1080s and watercool, I'd recommend 750w but just the headroom and to make it viable for a bigger build.  You can opt to save $10 by getting the 750w if you want too :)

Don't plan on SLI, I was however going to upgrade to 1080Ti later on and get the NZXT Kraken X62

Someone said the EVGA PSU's aren't the best option. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vddyhq This is where I'm at right now. I looked through the comments and adjusted a few things.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8KsdLD This is my end goal for the pc, I just don't have the cash for it at the moment. I hate cheaping out on stuff because I always end up wanting to upgrade in the future.
