It would be easier to help one if you can tell by the title what the problem is ... Now I came hear because I couldn't tell, just to find out I can not help with linux problems.

@TheCODclown25 Honestly if you wanted rgb leds Msi was probably the worst to go for.

I have an Msi Gtx 1070 Quicksilver and oh boy do these leds suck... Don't even get me started on the gaming app itself.

I ended up deleting the gaming app and got a software that let me control the color of the leds by typing in rgb values.

I'll look around for you if there is anything that would work but i highly doubt it.

Just out of curiosity why Linux?

@TheCODclown25 Or but this is just an idea and i have no idea if it would work but you could try setting up a virtual machine with Oracle VM Virtualbox and install the gaming app on that and see if that works.

EDIT:

I just tested this with Oracle VM Virtualbox and sadly it does not work since the VM can't see your graphics card.

I honestly see no reason to use Linux if your Pc can handle windows. Unpopular opinion here i know.

You could use Insider Preview for the time being, get 30 day trial of Windows 10 with the iso from the site if Insider isn't of interest. Then, there's...other options...for activating Win10 and still receiving official updates.

Not suggesting to do such a thing, (piracy not allowed) but if you could dual boot Windows for the trial period and still keep your Linux until you could buy Windows...modify the LEDs as you see fit, shut down and boot back to Linux. Seems pretty simple enough.

Would "HELP!!!!" if you didn't just use such a drastic term for a really irrelevant and low-priority issue.

Windows is free °/

Real all you have to deal with is not being able to change wallpaper and a small watermark that goes away on full screen applications.

This wouldn't work as the configuration is loaded by the software upon boot.

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure if the GPU leds had a memory feature like my Afterglow Xbox One controller. Weird that, you'd think it could be done that way by now

Windows 10 is free as @Princess Cadence said the only downside of the free version are not being able to change wallpaper

(You can still use wallpaper engine )

and a little watermark that isn't really bothering.

If you want to save a lot of money you could do what i did and buy a key from Kinguin.net Here

The key does work although some people (including me) had to use the activation by phone or live chat with the Microsoft support.

i used live chat and they activated it no problem. :)

If you prefer to buy a normal retail key then go ahead but for the time being just get windows 10 from Here (official link)
