hey guys so my friends wants to build a new build so I set this up for him but he says he wants an i5 thrown into it so what would the best way to upgrade this build to have an i5, would it be fine just to upgrade the chip or would i need to reshap the build all around it? thanks for any help

he is very new to computers so its not smart to have him overclock, and i heard that ryzens are good mainly for gaming, and hes not going to game with this build thoe. Thanks for the suggestion!

this was difficult to set up for him because when I ask him what he wants he says "an all around good pc" its basically just gonna be a basic creative computer so he can use most basic creative tools

Opposite. They are very slightly worse for gaming, and better for rendering.

 

If you don't already have the Intel motherboard, go for Ryzen.
