Should I get this CPU? (i3 paired with 1050 Ti)

Hi you,

I was wondering if it is a good idea for a budget gaming build to buy an Intel core i3-6100 3.70 GHz paired with my GTX 1050 Ti for fps gaming.  I'd be playing rainbow 6, cs:go, battlefield, battlefront 2 (after it is released ofcource) and Pimper Unknown's Battlegrounds.

Thanks, Computer Noob

Yes, but not that GPU. Get a 1060 3GB or 6GB if you have the cash.

Do you have a good used market for your area? You could look into some older cards like a 970 or R9 380. [Don't quote me on the pricing].

Pimper Unknown's Battlegrounds.

Don't you mean PLAYERUNKOWN'S BETAGROUNDS?

BTW an i3 and 1050 Ti won't run PUBG very well but neither does a 1080 Ti and Core i7 so ya know.

Look at benchmarks of games you wanna play and see how they do with your GPU and CPU.

If you play a lot of CS:GO and you heavily care about having 200+fps at all times do not let a person come in here and tell you to buy Ryzen processor. CS:GO but if you are ok with 150+ then ryzen is fine.

For other games i would recommend a Ryzen 1200 over the I3 or a Ryzen 1400 if you can squeeze that into your budget i mean Players unknown can now even support 6+ cores with the update they did. Unreal 4 engine is remarkable when used right.

I would say thats wrong. Source 2 uses more cores more effectivley, and its coming soon

My 4770 and GTX 970 can't get a steady 60 FPS so I don't know what settings you're using but the game is optimized very poorly. I also play on a 144Hz monitor so drops are more noticeable to me, esp. when I'm used to playing a steady 154 FPS in Overwatch.

Still ... my 1305 / 6500 GTX 760 4GB does like 35-75 fps at very low 1080p ....

Ryzen 7 1700 @3.8 with 16 GB 3200mhz

and its the same on my 4770k @4.2 12 GB 1600mhz

Gameplay is awesome, but performance is like any other early acces game

PURE TRASH

Let's agree to disagree

As of today Ryzen can not hold 200+fps in cs:go people with 240hz monitors will not keep their game capped at 240+.

Just watched some videos recently and Ryzen 7 OC can't even hold 150fps in cs:go, i personally never played the game and i couldn't care less haha but the user does never know if he is really competitive in it.

I don't really see that. They could be using max settings, which is a no no for cs people. That game will run at near 200fps on a 660 and i3 2300.

Low settings on the videos i watched also read users with the same frame rate i can not test it myself as i do not own the game

If u r short of money try to go for g4560 and add remaining amount to get 1060...if not go for ryzen 1200 rather than i3...
