But they did have a 144hz 1440p gsync monitor and I didn't game on it but the smoothness when the mouse moevs around was incredibly satisfying. Starting to consider 144hz now actually. Second thought, nahh 4k is just to pretty... I don't care about 144hz as long as It's UHD. and a 1440p IPS monitos seems kinda overpriced to..

I recently got a 144Hz 1440p G-sync monitor and it's amazing... I love it. The G-sync is IMO the biggest upgrade (since with my GPU I still play most games at 60-80Hz anyway) but the 144Hz is also very, very nice. For purely gaming I think a 1440p 144hz G-sync is the perfect monitor. For productivity it's fine but other options may be better and cheaper.

 

For gaming though... I don't think I could ever go back to a non-G-sync 60hz monitor...

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

it's so damn expensive man.... 600$ I mean wtf.. do you have an IPS or TN panel ?

IPS (which I think is totally worth it, the colors are a huge improvement over TN). I hit the jackpot though and got mine for $400 on clearance for 50% off). It's the Acer Predator XB271HU which is usually $800, got the shelf model (still with warranty) for a steal.

No, many people don't mind not having g-sync. I just hate seeing tearing (one of my biggest pet peeves, that and aliasing) and with lower framerates using v-sync can have a huge impact on actual fps (like if you drop below 60 you'll only get 30fps). With v-sync you can have no tearing and still get a full fps without dropping in steps and without the lag v-sync gives.

Damn dude check 1:18 WHAT THE FUCK ?! How have I been playing without g sync for all this time? And this is 60hz imagine that at 144hz. 

Oh dear... perhaps I should get a 1080p 144hz g sync to start with and wait for the prices to drop on the 4k and so on.. ? What do you think ?

I REALLY want a IPS 144hz gsync 1440p but it is way to fucking expensive man...

Yea, I think g-sync is by far the biggest improvement I have ever had to my gaming experience. I will never be able to go back to a non adaptive-sync monitor now... be careful, the upgrade may ruin you... You'll never be able to go back...

What's weird in that video though is the fps difference in the video between g-sync and no sync. There's really shouldn't be a difference at all... it's probably because it's only a 60hz monitor and it's frame limiting or something. G-sync shouldn't give you any noticeable fps loss.
