Accidently overwrote my drivers, my mouse and keyboard think they are a ps3 controllers

OskarE.R

Long story short, i was trying to get my ps3 controller working with my pc using 3rd party software, needed drivers installed. However when the checklist appeared i selected every usb port and thus my mouse and keyboard no longer work.

Both still work in the bios. I know how to uninstall all the drivers using the software however i'm currently unable to interact with it.

Could i boot into a safemode or something?

i'm using windows 10

Try a different mouse and keyboard? Their drivers should be different.

Safe mode shouldn't change anything since it's still going off of the drivers installed in your Windows folder.

Perhaps it's time for a clean install?

mobo= motherboard which should have a variety of different plugs. Such as USB where you plug your mouse and keyboard in, there may be these circular ports that are green and purple. If you have another keyboard and mouse that have these interefaces, they should work without any problems.

Have you tried safe mode yet? If that doesn't work... do you have teamviewer installed on your PC or any other remote app? You could remote in via your phone or another computer and re-download the drivers or fall back to a previous restore point.

You could just overwrite the drivers again.

Use your mac laptop to download drivers to the usb, and then plug it in, use the ps3 controller to open it, and install the new drivers.

Doesnt seem to work for me, isnt a windows logo on my bootup either.

asus logo, tells me to push f2 for bios, then loads straight into the password screen

Boot windows in safe mood, it won't load any third party drivers not needed for the PC to function.

Okay so restart your PC and spam F8 untill it goes to a screen you haven't been on before. If it boots to windows then it's not the F8 key. Some bords use other keys

Just tried that, seemed to work. It asked me which disk to boot off of. Then i chose my hard drive and it loaded to the password screen. I still cannot use mouse / keyboard

did you try booting in safe mode already?
If you hit F8 it will give you the option to have more boot options (or something like that) and look for safe mode there.

Hmm, it should of gave you a recovery menu letting you pick options like boot in safe mode

Can you put the HDD in another computer and delete the driver?
