I'm running 10 pro. So the HDMI cable was plugged into a Nintendo switch and sound worked fine And it's getting late so I'm calling it for the night so I can get back to you tomorrow about if device manager picks anything up

Went into device manager and it shows me AMD high definition audio device, high definition audio device, and Nvidia high definition audio device

I clicked on the sound icon in the bottom right and I clicked on Nvidia high definition audio device output and it says restart your PC to finish installing drivers and updates And I did that but still no output devices found. Do I by chance need a sound card for this to work?
