Western Digital Hard Drive Colors?

I'm looking to get a new hard drive but I'm not sure what the difference is between the labels with the different colors. Any information would be very helpful.

WD Blue: general usage

WD Black: performance and reliability

WD Red: NAS

WD Green: low noise and cheap

There is no WD green anymore though, it is called also blue now.

Which means they are old discontinued drives that you shouldn't buy because they have been on a shelf for years.

WD Blue: cheap & nasty 2 year warranty. 1TB drive is 7200rpm and rest are 5400rpm. 

WD Black: super expensive, 5 year warranty, 7200 rpm

WD Red: 3 year warranty, 5400 rpm.

Red Pro: 5 year warranty, more expensive than red, variable 5400-7200 rpm.

Gold/datacenter/Enterprise: 7200 rpm, super expensive, super long warranty but i cant remember if its 5 or 10 years, heaps more cache and reserved blocks than the rest. These are the fastest most resilient drives but they are really expensive.

WD Green: avoid.

Purple: security camera recording but some people use it to record TV.

 

WD only recommends Blue and black to be placed in two drive RAID. The red and gold are tested up to something like 8 drives (might be more)
