Xbox One X Streaming to pc?

WhiteWulfe

I'm probably one of the few people that actually use the streaming feature from my Xbox One to my PC, but yeah I do sometimes. I'm wondering if the Xbox One X will possibly be better at doing that? My net connection should easily be able to handle streaming from the xbox to the pc and with highest graphic fidelity, so just wondering if it'll have a better streaming perhaps to the pc?

It will be probably worse, since it has to stream 4K content and not only 1080p.

Borderline it should be able to stream it, but wont be better at it than Xbox One because of the resolution difference.

If playing through streaming has the same limits as playing on the console then it can be as much better and the xbonex over the xbone, if you can get better quality/fps streaming it then of course it would be better, so long as everything could handle it. Never personally used it so idk how it works... but gigabit ethernet should be enough for 4k... i think

i don't think it will stream more than 1080p, though there might be an option for 4k..
i have also noticed playing forza horizon 3 on both xbox, pc and streaming, that streaming makes it seem a bit more dull in colors etc vs playing directly to tv, but this is just part of the compression used i would think.

short answer; it will probably look worse while streaming than playing directly

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

Ehm ehm, if you plan on playing forza horizon 3, why stream it to PC? You can play it directly on PC :D Since once you bought it for Xbox One/X you also have it for PC (when you bought it in the online store)

i know, i just used it as an example as i have tried it.. and i got the game before i upgraded my pc and couldn't run it with satisfactory settings before that.. and when the tv is occupied, i also stream games to my laptop as it isn't powerful enough to run high end games with ultra settings natively.. it's pretty handy for this.

I play xbox exclusive games and new AAA games via steam, haven't really tried ps4 streaming to pc yet (though some games are pretty amazing when streamed to a vita (basically feels like ps4 quality games on a handheld))

i also tested it just to see if the quality was good enough so i could run everything through the same hdmi input as i have to change input both on my tv and amp every time, for me it wasn't good enough to replace native playing, but then again, i can get picky on image quality, so others may be fine with it..

Yeah that's the thing. I'm hoping they'll simply have the option to do 4k streaming, and will default 1080p, or give me the option. I don't always have access to my tv upstairs and that's where my xbox is. My PC is downstairs and has a gtx 1080 so it can definitely handle streaming hardware wise as well. :) I'd like them to just enhance the 1080p experience....Hopefully that additional horsepower in the Scorpio makes a difference
