Ryzen 1700x Temp Problems Sep, 2017

I have a Ryzen 1700x shipping to me within the week, and was wondering if the +20c temp problem is still an issue? And if so, does it effect cpu fan speeds? If it's always reading that it's 20c hotter than it actually is, I imagine it's going to put things into jet-engine territory when actually doing anything stressful.

I'm not actually having issues at the moment, I'm just speculating and asking if the issue still exists with the +20c issue that I know was around when they first came out.

it was made because amd's TJ max is 20 degrees lower than intel's, if that wasn't there amd cpus would overheat under certain scenarios, it shouldn't make things be in jet mode because ryzen cpus are very efficient and dont make much heat

I don't know what max RPM in that fan, but you could try speedfan to create a custom curve.

I believe the issue has been fixed in software by most manufacturers and software devs, certainly the most popular temp sensing apps now offset to adjust for the issue.

The best advice is if you don't believe the reading your getting then double check in another app, if it was me then I'd triple check it anyway even if it seems believable.

Cool, glad to hear it. I usually use both HWMonitor and Realtemp to make sure the readings are similar to eachother. Thanks for informing me.
