Looks alright to me. But I'd rather hold out for Coffee Lake (i7-8700K), instead of buying the i7-7700K now.

'Fanboyism is stupid' - someone on this forum.

Be nice to each other boys and girls. And don't cheap out on a power supply.

Spoiler

At this point, because the next best thing is just around the corner for what seems to be nearly the same price, its definitely not a good idea to buy the 7700k without at least seeing what the 8700k has to offer. Intel says an overall 10% increase IPC as well as having 2 more cores and 4 more threads, meaning it "should" do just as well, if not better, than the 7700k even in gaming, and will be more future proof with more cores and you can use it for more multi threading tasks if you ever need to. If your COMPLETELY set on this build and cant wait just a liiiiittle longer to have better parts for same price, then it looks to be all good. your ram speed is enough, AIO watercooling for the hot running cpu is proffered the board is a nice board (i would recommend the gaming E version, only because from first hand experience i can say its outstanding, as well as the reviews on it from what ive seen are great, hardware unboxed does a great review showing how far u can push it with the 7700k), Power supply is more than enough for expanding later, and the GPU is great.

I think upgrading to the 1080TI would put him over his budgest. the 1080 does fine up to 2k running max settings, and if hes only running a high refresh rate 1080p screen it'll perform even better. but if budgest isnt an issue, going for more horsepower is never a bad thing for longevity ^_^

Running a 1080p 144hz G-Sync, so yeah, will stick to the 1080 GTX over the Ti.

I will await, but don't want too be waiting too long, as we don't have a set release date?

From what ive seen, they released a few of the low end 8th gen cpu's so far, and the next ones are coming soon. I havent seen a date yet so im not 100% sure exactly the time, but id assume its not gonna be too much longer as they were supposed to release august.
