its only like 20$ more for 3000 so i would say its worth it

While Ryzen may not officially support higher memory speeds, many boards are reaching 3200MHz and higher with bios updates.  I'm running my 3000 kit at 3200 (16.18.18.38.CR1 at 1.4v).  Ryzen does love higher frequency ram.  Try researching "ryzen ddr4 infinity fabric" if you're interested in knowing more about it.
