Hi guys,i currently have a budget pc i installed with used components except the psu the build is :

i5 4590 (stock cooler)

z87-k mobo

8gb ram

500gb hdd

cx450m psu

intel hd 4600

and a cheap old antec sonata case with a 120mm exhaust fan at the back.

i was thinking that i should get a cheap dedicated gpu even though i'm low on budget so what i found was a used gtx 570 or used gtx 560 ti or hd 7750.

or i could just keep using integrated graphics until i have enough money for something better(going to be a long time).

so i was hoping to get some advice on this

1.should i get those used gpus or keep using the integrated one?

2.is the cx450m enough for the gtx 570 ?

3.And if i use the igpu for some older games with lowered settings would i need a better cpu cooler to not fry the cpu?

The 570, 560 ti and 7750 are all pretty old cards. FOr the same cash you'd buy those for you can get something better.

Intel i5 4590 isn't a super hot CPU, you wont fry it. PLay with the stock cooler for a while, the biggest drawback will probably be noise´so I'd suggest some cheap aircooler at best for you! Like the 212 Evo.

I'd also suggest getting an intake fan (or two).

1: no get a used 680

2: should be

3: no, the CPU will be fine

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Try and find a used GPU which is a little above those without going over budget.

I'm going to go with the safe answer of no.

A Corsair CX PSU isn't meant to handle high performance components and leaves virtually no upgrade path in the future without replacing it.

If you can find a better PSU which is 80+ Bronze for cheap then I'd strongly recommend picking any other PSU.

No. Should be fine but the HD 4600 isn't capable of playing that many modern games even at reduced settings. I wouldn't advise going for it unless you really can't afford a used GPU.

Those are a little hard to find these days but 770s and 760s should be just fine.

In theory yes but it's better to play it safe. Read above.

yah im a little unsure how power hungry the 570 is, i know its not super great but i would  expect that system to come in bellow 450W, but yah might be better to play it safe. used PSUs can be had for decent prices too, got my G750M for like $50 or something

@Bananasplit_00 @AluminiumTech Basically, a grey label CX PSU would be fine, and 450W is still plenty. A fermi refresh card tops out at about 250W individually for a 580 afaik, so anything like that or less will be fine. It's about the same for a Kepler x80 card.

Ah. I can't imagine a Green Label would be tho :P.

Assumed the OP had a green label.
