M.2 ssd's are a type of NVMe drive

M.2 is just the form factor. You can have regular SATA SSD's that are M.2 such as the Samsung 850 EVO. If you want a fast M.2 SSD then yes you want an NVMe one such as the 960 EVO/PRO.

It seems that bitspower is pretty popular when it comes to pumps, reservoirs, and radiators for custom loops; would anyone agree with that?

I think the question is better asked in Liquid and Exotic Cooling.

If you don't intend to use custom loop for gpu , then dont go with blower style graphics card. They usually run hotter & tend to get noisy when fan running full load to dissipate heat.
