You could choose a lower Ryzen CPU but I personally wouldn't the 1600 can fit this budget and the 1060 3gb version is plenty for 1080p. Yes even at just 3gb vrm it's still good enough for 1080p gaming.

Oh that's right my bad.

Either this 1tb mechanical or a 256gb ssd. Dropping to the 1400 might mean getting both for not a lot of performance lost:

Ryzen 1600, a Tier 3 PSU, and 1060 6GB.

The bottleneck on this build would be RAM, but the prices have inflated too much.

A buddy of mine has a 3gb gigabyte 1060 and it can play pubg 900p medium settings and barely hit 60 i popped in my gigabyte 1060 6gb and it ran it ultra 60+

In case the time stamp doesn't works it's 34:51

Your buddy's 3gb 1060 or something else on the system might have been creating some kind of issue or this was on an older patch: Here you can see it maintaining over 60 average easily on the 3gb card. You can even notice the VRAM usage pushing it constantly far past the 3gb limit but the performance hit isn't severe enough to impede reasonable 60 fps average gaming.
