Petabyte P0rn Project

A guy stored nearly 2PB of porn in his "unlimited" amazon cloud!

Not even the LMG server can handle this...

The petabyte project isn't really that big when it comes to server storage solutions. For its use case I'd say it's sizeable, but in terms of servers and data centers, not exactly huge.

This is why we can't have nice thing... when companies realize there's people like this guy that exist in this world, who ruin "unlimited" services by abusing it for inane reasons, they just cut off said unlimited service because it's not profitable for them anymore.

That 2PB of data could've easily been used by thousands of paying customers people who wouldn't be abusing it. Instead it was just one idiot uploading adult videos.(that were most likely pirated to begin with)

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200

the article says he wrote scripts to capture live streams from cam sites.

To gather this much data, beaston02 wrote scripts that recorded public webcam shows from a variety of adult cam sites, including CamSoda, Chaturbate, and MyFreeCams.

wich i think falls under "pirating" and sure is not good for the cam models as they rely on tips and chat interaction from active viewers.

i seen it happen occasionaly and it really was scary how fast a girls live show was captured and uploaded on "free" porn sites without her knowledge - like the girl litteraly was still broadcasting while earlier parts of this very show already spread all over the internet.

and yes, while some do it for fun and a little extra money, some girls (and guys) really need that income to keep the lights on.

It's  actually a great fit for his project . PrOn accounts for 30% of internet content by itself , so he can have as much data as he wants.
