I'd like to ask four your opinion.

Hello guys!
I've been lurking on the channel and a few other places for a while now, and I've managed to get som money. I've chosen my cfg, and i'd like to ask for your opinion what do you think if it.

case: BE QUIET! Silent Base 800
mobo: ASUS PRIME B350-PLUS
cpu: ryzen 5 1600
psu: evga b3 750W
mem: Corsair 8gb vengence lpx ddr4 3000 cl 15
gpu: AMD RX vega 64.

this is my rough budget, maybe a bit more

I'm a student, that learns programming in a uni atm, so i need to be able to shift that workloads, also it'd be a gaming rig. Well.. not gonna lie, while i'm at class i'd like to mine to (side note, I live in a dorm, and i pay a fixed price, so whatever electricity i use doesn't matter). Whatever. Depending on the GPU price, i'd opt for 16gb ram.

What are your thoughts?

I would rather go for a 56 and 16gb ram.

Side note, how do you even plan on getting a 64 at msrp? They're all like $700 right now...

Buy whatever product is best for you, not what product is "best" for the market.

Interested in computer architecture? Still in middle or high school? P.M. me!

I love computer hardware and feel free to ask me anything about that (or phones). I especially like SSDs. But please do not ask me anything about Networking, programming, command line stuff, or any relatively hard software stuff. I know next to nothing about that.

At least 16GB of RAM. 8GB is pretty minimal by todays standards other than that it looks fine.

dominator has better looking for me

and everything is fine

or you can buy new cpu cooling 200w tdp ++

so your cpu's temp can under 60 or even 50 in full load state

Every thing except the stupidly overpriced dumb vega 64 looks like a very solid gaming rig, with Ryzen you need an Asus or AsRock motherboard and at least 3000mhz memory which you got covered already... the PSU is over kill for a single GPU system and you  can settle for a 550w Evga G2/3... and probably buy a GTX 1080 instead and you're set.

8GB is all you need, but in the next few years you should be wanting to upgrade to 16GB.

Buy yourself a 1070/1080 instead of going for the RX VEGA.

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

get 8GB for now since RAM is currently so overpriced, then when things get cheaper get a second matching 8GB stick to go to 16GB, ditch the Vega 64 nearly impossible to find and seriously overpriced for what you get, Vega 56 is coming and will be a much better price to performance then 64 and even then only go Vega if you NEED the raw COMPUTE PERFORMANCE you get with Vega (which it sounds like you might be able to actually use), in gaming Vega 64 loses price to performance wise and just isn't worth it.

Thank you very much for the many reply.
I'm confident that i'll be able to buy vega 64 at MSRP, if not, tough luck for me.
On the PSU overkill, well it's better to have power than don't i guess.
My location is Hungary and everything is f*** overpriced cos... you know EU, that's why i didn't write my exact budget, and i don't know it myself $ to $ tbh.
In the future i'd like to water cool my stuff, but that's very far into the future, as i'll blowing my money on this.
On the 1080 side of things. I like the 1080, but i hate Gforce experience with a passion. I know i'm not required to install it, but man, that software sucks, cos it's well.. a spyware and a bloatware.

Thank you guys, once again for replying to me.
cheers.
