Let's talk gaming chairs...

I am in the market for a new gaming chair.  I am looking for something that is not too boy racerish.  I am OK with the plane black DXracer type chairs, just not something too loud.  I am 5'10" 250ish.

 

My budget is pretty flexible.  I was thinking under $500, but could stretch it if needed.  What do you guys recommend?

I'm thinking at that price you should be getting something by Herman Miller or another body friendly company.

I have looked at refurbed Herman Miller Aerons on eBay.  They run ~$600 for the larger size C...which I am ok with.  I wish I could find somewhere I could sit in them.  That is a lot of money to spend without a test drive.

There should be new, open box ones for significantly cheaper than that. I used to buy them from a Herman Miller retailer on eBay and resell them..though I can't remember what his account was.

Don't get a "gaming chair" if you're spending that much money. Complete waste. Now, if you're spending around $200, sure maybe.

I think I agree in going with a nice office chair, built to last.  If you can find a Size C significantly cheaper, please help me out and point me in the right direction.
