New Computer - Not Great

Recently some things happened and my girlfriend decided to dump baby formula, sparkling water, and pop on my K70, Razer naga, Asus Monitor and FX system while it was all still running. Long story short non of it works as of right now. After I told her that I wanted her gone she decided she'd replace what she had destroyed. Went to Best Buy and got me a pre built CyberPowerPC and honestly it was pretty shit in comparison to what I'm used to but atleast she tried right? Even after putting a 240SSD (now the boot drive), 16GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX Ram, still sucked. Benchmarks suck. Can't really plan anything without a terrible stutter or low fps.

You've got an equally as good GPU and a much better processor. I fail to see how it's "shit" by comparison

Sorry but that was a huge fail on your part. Why did you let her buy your pc without knowing anything about tech stuff?

 

I also would not like anyone near my PC.

Better CPU, a bit better performing gpu, 1TB hdd in addition. Don't really see your point. If it's not running fast, try updating drivers, install latest BIOS (don't know what mainboard is in there) and OC that Ryzen 5 CPU. Since there's no info on RAM models and speeds there's hardly anything else to say. 

Why exactly are you ranting now? Are you looking for help or pity for having a great girlfriend who's trying to make up for a mistake everyone (!) could have made?

fx cpu cant even compare to ryzen. the stutter could be caused by software/board/psu. you also dont know tech either. fx sucks for gaming that even the even the 1st gen iseries beats the fx in fpu ipc by almost double. for example the i7 920 will match with an 8 core fx for 4 core gaming performance and thats very old. i used to run space engineers on fx 8 core at 4.3ghz. switched to an overclocked xeon at 4.2hz and got almost double the speed. its a physics heavy game thats single threaded. i remember the days where people were hyping fx and lagging in space engineers when i didnt as i had an intel iseries and not an fx.

 

your gf did right by you and got you something better. dont be a dick by ditching her for a mistake, just make sure she knows that electronics and liquids dont mix and doesnt repeat the same thing. finding a good mate is very difficult.

on a side note i do put my drinks on my pc but i never spill them

Didn't let her. Was just kinda there and hooked up when I got home and couldn't return it
