Hey guys,

I'm new to the PC gaming world and need some advice. What would you say is the best pre-built gaming PC for $1000? It would help if its decent at 3D rendering as well, since my girlfriend is an Interior design major and will be using it to render her designs. I was looking into cyberpower and they seemed pretty good. Do any of the pre built come with wireless cards?

Thanks for all the help.

Snip

buying a prebuilt is like buying a laptop.... don't look at brands. look at hardware. if cyberpower has the best hardware for your price range, then get that. prebuilts are usually difficult to recommend since you don't get to choose their configurations, and they may not be properly balanced for your specific workloads.

Are you against building your own PC? its pretty darn easy and would allow you to better fine tune your needs. you also tend to get a slightly better deal on a build it yourself PC since you aren't paying someone else to spec it out and build it for you.

Does not matter what pre-built system you buy, as long as it has a spare PCI-E slot you could always add your own wireless card at a later date.

$1000 will get you a decent mid range gaming pc.  Just do your homework on the Graphics Card and CPU inside.  Have a think about how you might want to upgrade the system in the future.

We could probably give him the PC specs. (Also @luckydutch23, there's a great website to see if the parts are compatible: pcpartpicker.com).

I'm definitely not against building my own, from what I can tell it really isn't that hard, would just need some recommendations for hardware, since like I mentioned i'm pretty novice and don't know much yet, especially when it come to hardware specs.

Stay away from USB networking products. Only use Internal PCI Express wireless cards, or better yet looking in to Power line, MOCA or Ethernet.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

if you wouldn't mind building a list and sending it to me that would be awesome. $1000 is my budget. And like I mentioned I'm going to need a wireless card as well. Don't need a monitor, I have one I can use for the time being.

Thanks

Just pop around his house WAR, you could be his personal guru/mentor.

As the cliche goes it's so easy when you know how.  PC building in my experience can be learn by your mistakes. I made so many mistakes though the years (can laugh about them now).

Wish I had known a lot more that I did, when I purchasing my first PC.  Eureka YouTube build guides where born :)

Question is can you be a pre-build PC owner and call your-self an enthusiast.

@luckydutch23 What about this one? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/P9hYjc But it doesn't have the wifi card. Maybe a little help by @Qi_Forever, @AniJan, @Donut417 would be appreciated!

@luckydutch23 That pcpartpicker list has pretty solid specs. The only thing you need is just a wifi card and since I'm not too familiar with those, I can't help you a whole lot.

You have to link the permalink. Because other wise we get to our own PCpartpicker builds.

When you in the build area, there is a permalink text bar. It will have a link in it and you use that one instead. Right under the current parts list heading.
