[Help] Phanteks Evolv mATX Tempered Glass Edition + EK Fluid Gaming A240G

Hi everybody,

Really excited to be building my first rig from the ground up but, as expected, I have hit a snag. I'm attempting to water-cool both my CPU and GPU using the EK Fluid Gaming A240G (aluminium kit). Unfortunately, due to the small form factor size of the Phanteks Evolv mATX case that I'm using, I'm struggling to find a location for the pump/reservoir combo that either isn't in the way of the RAM or GPU block or that forces me to bend the tubing to such an extent that it kinks. Has anyone out there built a similar rig? Any feedback and tips would be appreciated regardless!

I've seen some builds where the pump/reservoir was on the outside, behind the case. Maybe that could work for you?

My PC:

Macbook Pro 13", 2017 w/ Touchbar

Specs:

CPU: 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Plus Graphics 650 1536 MB

Where are your fans positioned?

You could mount the pump to one of these:

and then mount it to the rad if your fans are on the outside of the case.

Edit:

Maybe the above will still work.

Are you putting the radiator at the top or the front?

I tried configuring the pump horizontally mounted to either of the fans on the front radiator. Unfortunately, the GPU block blocks the bottom fan and the memory blocks the top fan but since this lets you mount the pump vertically, there might be space for me to do this via the top fan of the radiator. Thanks!

Sounds typically LTT janky but I'll definitely keep that in mind as a last case resort, thanks! :P

If anybody comes across this thread with a similar issue, I believe that I have solved my problem with the above-suggested vertical mounting bracket in combination with the aluminium 45 and 90 degree angled adapters that EK now offer to pair with their EK Fluid Gaming kits (https://www.ekfluidgaming.com/ek-af-alu-angled-90-g1-4-natural-grey).
