Pimped out my Soundblaster Z just a little bit more

Arct1c0n

Over two years ago I did a LED replacement and painted my SBZ and it looks much better to go with my systems Asus ROG theme.

But the backside was still just so....boring...

But thanks to the awesome guys at coldzero.eu, I got a custom backplate made to fix this!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

1. I'm old school, still don't trust/like onboard audio but external is overkill for my needs

2. My DJ headphones require more amperage due to them being higher impedence of the drivers

3. Because I can/want to

Not everyone is an audiophile and many people like bass more than anything.

Don't care, don't want external DAC taking up space on my computer desk and don't wanna spend the money. Got SBZ used for $40, and drive my $200 DJ headphones better then most onboard solutions with no static or interference issues. End of discussion

Look, I can give my friend my Sennheiser HD650 with my AMP/DAC and he will say they are shit because his Koss in-ear headphones have more bass.

Get over it.

PC Sound cards are usually heavy on bass and while yes, you get better audio with external... whatever if the person that is going to use it does not care.

1. I don't care

2. I don't make music, I listen to music and I like bass on my games and music. I don't care how you like your own music played, so drop it

3. I'm likely much older then you and in the olden days, soundcards were the only way to get real quality sound and I still like to have one cause I'm old school and nostalgic. Now get the hell off my lawn

Producers make and mix music on completly flat monitors, perfecting it on a flat signal response,by turning up the bass you are litreally wasting a couple dozen hours of a mix engineers time

Lol, dude, what the fuck ever. I am not an audio engineer so I don't care.

Why do I like bass so much? Well, because when I fire my 18 inch guns in World of Warships, it fucking booms nice and deep to the point where my headphones shake on my head, it sounds awesome.

:D

And why should it matter to him if he likes bass?

Audio is about what you like not about what is better in specs.
