Compatibility to add Embed video to threads.

NTDaws

I have a suggestion of adding embed video from like twitch and other sites. Thought it would be a nice feature.

Now that you mention it, I don't believe I've ever seen a twitch clip linked ever.

I know we have embed things for twitter, youtube, spotify, and probably more I've either forgotten or just never seen.

tbh I think a pcpp integration would be far more useful considering how often those are linked.

i am totally fine with copying bbcode from pcpp, works as intended so pcpp intergration isn't needed tbh unless convert permalink to full bbcode which i dont think is necessary

I don't believe our current editor supports bbcode, and I've seen people try to copy from pcpp and it's a colossal mess, which is why (thankfully) most just leave a link.

I think it would be nice to get a preview in the thread though.

Hm, alright then.  I just remember hearing that the move to the new editor a while back meant it didn't accept bbcode anymore, much to the chagrin of those who wanted it.  In fact, I seem to recall there being many threads asking to have it added, only to each be shot down over it being technically impossible.

I have been copying PCPP BB Code since I joined the forum. It would be sad if they removed that.

Editor accepts bbcode, but you can't edit it. And more special codes don't work. Mortis posted list of working codes while back. I can try to search it when I get home.

As for more videos, I see issue with Twitch as it would be too easy to see it as self advertising in regular threads.
