$500 Laptop

Good afternoon, my cousin is looking for a laptop for under $500. He is just looking to watch Netflix and browse chrome. He does open a lot of chrome tabs though. What I am thinking of recommending is just a good chrome book with a good amount of RAM, but let me know of any other options.

Chromebook doesn't need lots of ram, they are more optimized than chrome browser on windows, 4GB ram is enough for a Chromebook.

You can just get a Chromebook for 299 with 4GB of Ram and it'll provide almost identical performance

But Windows PCs are extremely versatile so if lets say he becomes a gamer it will sorta work

Thanks for the options, though I was just informed only browsing the web is his use case.
