Now House New Setup

Hey all,

 

I just bought a new 3000 sq ft house and wanted to get some opinions on what to do. The basement has built in speakers looks like 7 of them with a sub. I would also like to do a wireless setup upstairs, was thinking sonos but don't know if they are worth what they cost. Don't really want wires everywhere upstairs though.

 

Here's some pics of the basement room i pulled off the realtor walk through.

 

I guess for the basement what would be a good amp to purchase? Only would have an apple tv and kodi box hooked up to it at this point.

Sonos is OK, but way to expensive for what it is.

$1000, $2000, $5000, $10,000?  

 

Any less than $1000 I would just get an integrated amp and call it a day.

I wouldn't assume the Op knows what a dedicated amplifier is, in this case. I think he is looking for a receiver.

Yeah sorry guys, not really and audiophile or anything. Receiver would work fine considering i don't know the quality of the speakers that are built into the walls. I was thinking around 600$ Canadian.
