Ability to remove certain quotes from multiquoted button

LogicalDrm

Lets start by saying this is very minor thing but which I have time to time.

So with longer threads with many US/CA users participating, I collect quotes to respond along the discussion which has happened in nighttime or during workday in my timezone. Which means that I take first post I want to quote but few replies after comes another, from same user, which party answers first but is better suited for my quoting needs. If this continues few pages or there's like 10 posts between two quoted posts, I don't go back to remove quote selection from previous post. Deleting them while editing isn't issue on desktop use. But I can't easily do it on mobile.

So would it be possible to open multiquoted button as listing of posts quoted and ability to remove single posts from it? Or alternatively improve quote management on mobile editing (idk if its more browser thing, quote box acts like link or smthg) where I can't remove single quotes.

You can unmultiquote a post by clicking the multiquote button again, but otherwise I'm afraid a feature like this wouldn't be used by many people other than you, so it's not something that I can realistically dedicate time to implementing, and IPS are unlikely to implement it, though I will pass it on to them.

The multiquote feature is usually used for a few posts within a topic, where a feature like this has limited utility I'm afraid.

I know I can un-quote. But scrolling back 1-2 pages in some cases isn't very productive way.

Isn't it easier to delete the quotes after the fact?

On desktop sure/maybe. In worst case I've had about 10 quotes from which I've picked 4 to reply to. On mobile that would be almost worth doing it all over again.
