so i have a question for my nzxt fan controller

I have a nzxt sentry 3 fan controller and there's a thing for getting the temperature of the cpu? do I put the "wire" under my cpu cooler or no? (I'm not home right now I will be in 30-45 minutes) I'm not %100 certain if it said that I'm just making sure if I have to make a pit stop to get thermal paste?

I'm not familiar with it but putting a wire under the cooler is not a good idea. It will leave a gap and no heat will transfer

yes that's why I'm asking cause it seems bad

the only thing that belongs between a heatsink and the cpu  is thermal paste

nothing else.

I would say check the manual or call customer support. Better to have to order thermal paste then a new cpu
