GPU and Display Question

There are several issues here:

  • I'm getting different answers, but the GTX 1080 is likely only able to support up to four displays.
  • It may not allow for Surround Mode if you have more than three displays
  • There's only one HDMI output and a DVI output, which can passively convert to HDMI. The third TV will need a DP to HDMI converter, which may cause issues.
  • There's also some combination quirk I keep vaguely remembering, like if you use two DP you can only use either the HDMI or DVI, not both.

i.e., I don't think what you're doing is possible.

As Yurizaki pointed out, the intended setup is far from ideal.

I suggest skipping the triple-TV sale, and instead buying 1 ultrawide.

You'll keep the simplicity of two panels, but gain that more desirable aspect ratio for looking into your corners. Plus you can just drive both displays directly off DisplayPort.

Hello glorious pc master race, I wanted to ask a question about displays, I'm really hyped about f1 2017 and I wanted to buy 3 1080p TV screens at a local TV store since they are having a sale. I play with 2 monitors currently 1 as my main display and 2nd for things like discord and other applications. I wanted to ask if my Zotac AMP! Extreme 1080 can run 3 1080p TV displays at 60hz, and if it can could it also run my main monitor 144hz Asus VG248qe 1080p on the side? I want a setup where I can have my Gaming wheel and the 3 TV's and then when I turn to my left I have my Asus monitor where I can play fps games, if my GPU can run all these displays then I wouldn't have to unplug and plug in HDMI cables when I swap games.

PS: Kind of a noob question but would 3 1080p TV's with 2 1080p monitors on the side equal a combined display of 9600 x 1080p? Since each monitor and TV is 1920 x 1080 the horizontal pixel count would be 9600 and the vertical pixel count would be 1080.

For the GPU:

"Multi Display Capability  Quad Display"

So four displays, without any socks or splitters.

Keep in mind some TVs have very high input lag, so they might feel very sluggish. Do your research before buying 3 displays ;)

And yeah that would be a combined resolution of 9600*1080, but there really won't be any programs that you actually lost the resolution like that.

Yea all your points make sense, after thinking it over I think the ultrawide 4k curved TV would be best. Thanks for replying back and educating me about the outputs and display options for my GPU. :)
