Hi all!

I'm on Amazon right now and I can't decide whether to get the 1070 or 1080.. There's a $40 dollar difference between the two. I don't plan to game in 4K anytime soon. I play a decent amount of games and work in the Adobe Sweet almost everyday. Is the 1080 overkill? I'm already forking over too much for these cards as it is and I would like to save as much money as possible. BUT, if it's worth it, then I'll get it. Any thoughts?

Cheers,

Steve

So you're playing at 1080p? The GTX 1070 might be overkill for that too, depending on the game.

But the GTX 1080 is about 20%-ish better than the GTX 1070 + has newer/faster GDDR5X memory. I would say go for it if you can afford it.

Also, Adobe Suite* :P

I'll go for the 1080 then!

Thanks guys! :D

Do you guys ever get the protection policies on the cards? I generally never get them... But since it's been a while since I bought one, so I'd thought I'd ask.

I've had my 970 since it was released and I've never had any problems so I'm not sure if its worth getting the protection or not..
