As far as getting a board that supports DDR3 is concerned, you have limited choices. Since you didn't mention it specifically, I'm going to assume you're in the USA? OutletPC still has the ASUS B150M-Plus D3 in stock, and it has four DDR3 slots that should support your RAM perfectly fine. Keep in mind however that if it is old stock, it may need a BIOS update to support the Pentium G4560. This would have to be done with Intel Skylake CPUs. There are also some B150 Pro Gaming D3s on eBay if you're willing to go that route, but they cost a bit more. It's not necessary for your use case though, so the B150M-Plus D3 should do fine.

I'm pretty sure there's no way to make DDR3 work with a Pentium G4560. You're going to need DDR4.

DDR3 works with Skylake/Kaby Lake CPUs but it's not advisable since the operating voltage for DDR3 is higher (1.35V) than the recommended 1.2V

He stated having the rare DDR3L which means it is 100% compatible with the G4560.

OP, you need something like this: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/8pH48d/gigabyte-motherboard-gah110mhddr3

Which might not support Kaby Lake by default as BIOS for these never sold motherboards are likely to have never been updated, good luck finding one as well literally nobody uses Kaby Lake on DDR3L and manufactures never bothered making motherboards for it due to how rare this ram is.

While not untrue, DDR3L is what you want to use (and what the OP has.) 1.35V is still safe enough for the IMC (and officially supported by Intel.) The only time where you're really going to run into problems is when you're using full 1.5V or 1.65V DDR3.

The highest DDR4 voltage Intel will validate for XMP modules is 1.5V so it would be 100% acceptable to run that in a daily driver.
