Please help on choosing 4k tv for gaming

I have zero experience with 4k tv's ,but my plasma died and i need a new tv asap and would like a 4k.

i have 2 sets in mind but cant make up my mind and instead of flipping a coin i thought i would ask experienced people here and just go with what the majority says(ik im weird)..

 

Vizio 65" p65-e1

Sony 55" x900e

vizio has less lag on 1080p but more on 4k hdr

sony has more lag on 1080p but less on 4k hdr  again idk anything about 4k hdr or lag as ive always gamed on plasma's (had an asus gysnc awhile back but i needed the money shortly after receiving it as gift so i sold it)

 

uses: Heavy gaming...Movies and Shows...Pc monitor..

PS4 (upgrading to pro) ... PC (i7 4790k,gtx 1070 ftw ,16gb ram) wont be getting a gtx 1080 or sli'ing 1070 for at least a year).

 

Please help me decide so i can get back to gaming..

I would recommend a 4K monitor for gaming and streaming because it has a higher refresh rate which optimises a better image quality during gaming or streaming videos. You will save some money on a 4K monitor rather than buying a 4K TV.

'TV vs Monitor' argument aside, I'm trying to imagine why anyone would want a 55-65" desktop display outside of specialized situations.
