The Simple ARC

Dani360c

HI LTT

This is my very first build!

I wanted a bit more performance than what my MSI GE60 laptop could offer and decided to go for a desktop this time.

I have spend a lot of time watching Linus's videos to figure out exactly what parts suited me the best and this is what it came down to :)

I'm going for a clean outside look with a red interior theme.

This is the result!

Specs:

Case: Fractal Design Arc midi R2 (feel in love with this case right away!)

CPU: 4670K @ 4.4 Ghz 1.29v (wanted to do some overclocking)

CPU cooler: Noctua NH-U12S (because NOCTUA and air cooling seems to be the right option for me)

GPU: MSI GTX 770 Gaming (after the prices dropped i choose this over a 760)

Motherboard: MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming (i had more features that i liked over the Asus hero board)

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2x4 GB 1600mhz (looks cool! and not much more expensive)

PSU: Corsair RM650 (Silent and fully modular and 80+ gold!)

SSD: SaMSUNG 840 EVO 120 GB (for OS and because Samsung!)

HDD: old WD Blue 500GB (unknowingly provided by my ISP :D)

Optical drive: Asus DVD writer (cheapest, need it as dvd player for my tv)

Others:

Corsair AF140 LED red

Bitfenix alchemy strip 30cm red

Peripherals:

Mouse: Logitech G500s

Keyboard: Logitech G710+

Mousepad: Logitech G440

Monitor: ASUS PA238Q

Headphones: Sennheiser HD 518

Speaker: Sony SRS-D8

USB sound card: Creative Sound Blaster X-FI HD

Future upgrades:

ASUS Xonar Essence STX Sound Card

WD 2TB Green HDD

another RAM kit if games should start to benefit from it.

maybe an Corsair SP120 on the CPU cooler, just for looks.

another LED strip at the bottom.

2 Corsair AF140 LED fans in the front, again for looks ;)

and not likely but still a option, Red sleeved cable kit from corsair :D

Pictures: Taken with an HTC One, not the best photos, my bad. Haven't posted Pictures here before hope it turns out well!

I got dcuii card just because of that awesome backplate and the super efficient cooler. I do have to ask though, what made you decide to have the psu fan aiming up rather than firing down?

and they are pretty stiff to work with, considering buying their pre-sleeved kit instead

The textures on that mousepad doe.  Looks like it was actually used in real life!  Never seen renders that realistic before!!!  (I know Artem is lying because the pic has 2 GPU's and his specs only say 1!)

problem is, that the cable kits cost nearly as much as the PSU it self!

I'm confused as to what you guys are talking about... I forgot to update my signature after getting my second card... Here is a link to more pics of my setup. Not sure if you're trolling or just an idiot...

You could always sleeve the cables yourself. Since the PSU is fully modular you wouldn't need to send the cables back with the PSU if you ever need to warranty it.
