so I had to get all the sms's off my mom's phone because she broke it, but I got a ECBK file. Is there any program that can open those so she can see the messages?

Was/is it by any change a LG phone? Becuase I think ECBK files is a proprietary file type used by LG.

You best bet you probably be the LG PC suite, but I have no idea if will work as intended.

Hmm, reading a bit up on this, it seems like you need an LG phone to be able to unpack an ECBK file.

Apperenlly, it's a proprietary backup format, that gets packed as the phone is backed up and is unpacked as it is restored.

So what you will need is a piece of software that can emulate a LG phone. Whether or not such a piece of software exists I can't say, but I'll keep on searching.

There might be other solutions as well and I'll keep an eye out for those.

That's what I also got as my conclusion. At least I managed to get the contracts off the phone without getting them into that format and no I couldn't just select them all and then save on sum, because that part of the screen is dead.
