SFX-PSU Node 202

FloRolf

Hey guys!

I'm looking for some PSU advice. I want to rebuild my rig in an Fractal Node 202.

General specs again:

i5 2500k (lil overclock maybe)

GTX1080 Strix

840 Evo SSD

Will the PSU that Comes with the Node 202 be good for 120€ (case+psu)

http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/node-series/node-202-integra-sfx-450w-psu

Or should i get the case alone for 75€ plus either

Corsair SF450 for 76€ or

Corsair SF600 for 100€ or

450w Silverstone Strider Gold for 82€

Which adds up to ~150€ vs 120€ with Basic PSU.

Help pls :D

Thanks <3

im pretty sure the PSU that comes with the node 202 isnt the greatest, id get the SF450, which incidently might be the PSU i pick up for the Toaster Prodject lol

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

The best idea is to get the sf450 and get some custom thin airflow cables in the future if you want

SPECS:

i5 6400

Asus H110i-PLUS

Kingston 8GB RAM

HyperX 3K 120GB SSD

Western Digital Black 320GB HDD

Corsair RM550x

The preinstalled PSU in the Node 202 is bad, I would highly recommend you get another PSU, the Corsair SF450 is very good.

Actually the built in PSU in the Node 202 is pretty bad. There are numerous incidents on this forum and also from I believe Bitwit Kyle and one of the old AMD employees who used to stream. I can't remember his name but he played video games on an all-AMD system before he quit working at AMD. I think it was Paul iAmApropos

You'd be best off getting the case you like and a PSU of decent quality.
