7870 2GB or R9 270X 2GB upgrade?

Hello,

So as many of you may know I currently own an R7 360 2GB GPU and I have said in the past that I will upgrade to an R9 270X however... With all the GPU mining and the like there are few R9 270X's to be had on eBay but there are also quite a few 2GB versions on CeX going for £70 (One on eBay for the £80 which is very nice).

So, as I was trawling through eBay like I usually do... I found a 7870 2GB version for £50. Is this worth it instead of the R9 270X or could it be a mistake down the line?

Thanks - BP

lol that's not an upgrade. Get a 1030 for a tiny performance increase or save for a rx 460

Try using the PSU Tier List!

This shows it would be an upgrade: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-HD-7870-vs-AMD-R7-360/2161vs3572

This shows that is is practically on par with the R9 270X: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/AMD-HD-7870-vs-AMD-R9-270X/2161vs2188

Also, going to an RX 460 isn't a worthy upgrade since I can get the same results simply by overclocking my GPU. The 1030 is actually much weaker than my R7 360 too.
