Why is my monitor(?) stuck on 30Hz even though the advertised refresh rate is 60Hz

Why doesn't my bdm4350 run on 60 Hz? 30Hz is the highest I can go.  (A lil bit brain ded right now don't feel like correct grammaring)

what's the resolution and your display connection? are you running 3840x2160 on HDMI by any chance?

Because you are running HDMI 1.4 You have to use HDMI 2.0 or DP for 60hz

Try to change the display settings in the Nvidia control panel to YCbCr 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 at 3840x2160 60hz. If it can do 60Hz it may be limited to those setting and not be able to do RBG or 4:4:4. Also many 4k TVs have only specific ports that can handle 4k/60 (on mine there's only 1 HDMI 2.0 port that can do 4k/60 in 4:2:0, the rest are limited to 4k/30), check your manual and make sure you are using the correct port.

 

The manual also says you have to change a setting in the OSM to switch DP1.1 to DP1.2, have you done that? Same thing for HDMI you have to change the setting from 1.4 to 2.0.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

There are different versions of the DisplayPort video standard, but none of those versions uses a different cable.

 

There is no such thing as a "DisplayPort 1.1" or "DisplayPort 1.2" cable. All versions of DisplayPort use the same cable. See here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic/729232-guide-to-display-cables-adapters-v2/?output=DP

Check the monitor's onboard menu, many 4K monitors are set to DisplayPort 1.1 mode by default for compatibility and need to be changed to 1.2 to enable 60 Hz.

I just edited the post, you have to change a setting on the TV to get 4k/60. Did you read the manual?
