So this is weird... any ideas what's happening?

Apparently I can have several petabytes of data on a 120GB SSD. I haven't noticed any issues from this but it's still weird. Explorer reports the correct sizes and nothing else is weird.

 

I've already tried: Disk Cleanup, CCleaner, SFC scan, DISM scan, and trimming the drive. The values values are always wrong but change every time I refresh the page.

 

Specs: Windows 10 home (1703, 15063.483), i5-2410m, 8GB RAM, 120GB boot SSD, 500GB secondary HDD (all reported sizes on HDD are normal).

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

bruh this is the funniest thing i have seen windows do in quite a while. like nothing on that screen makes any sense lol. love the total of 49PB and then a folder of 820PB xD thats atleast 5 years off into the future

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

This is actually amazing. Did you photoship it? Not that I don't believe you, but could you run WinDirStat? I'm curious as to what it will say.

its actually not that uncommon of a bug o.O

 

what happens is that you have a lot of files there that have their filesize listed improperly, meaning they're bigger "filesize" than their "on disk size", and as a result they may take up like.. 4GB on something that works with "on disk size", and a MUCH higher number for something that works with "filesize"

Nope not photoshopped (except putting the red boxes over my user name in the folder paths). WinDirStat looks completely normal.

That wouldn't explain why WinDirStat and explorer reports the correct sizes though would it?

Clear the temporary files, then refresh it...Not that you would want to solve this problem...but in the event you do, that's my suggestion.

Temp files are regularly cleared (both using Disk Cleanup and CCleaner), makes no difference.

Having issues with a Corsair AIO? Possible fix here:

Are you getting weird fan behavior, speed fluctuations, and/or other issues with Link?

Are you running AIDA64, HWinfo, CAM, or HWmonitor? (ASUS suite & other monitoring software often have the same issue.)

Corsair Link has problems with some monitoring software so you may have to change some settings to get them to work smoothly.

-For AIDA64: First make sure you have the newest update installed, then, go to Preferences>Stability and make sure the "Corsair Link sensor support" box is checked and make sure the "Asetek LC sensor support" box is UNchecked.

-For HWinfo: manually disable all monitoring of the AIO sensors/components.

-For others: Disable any monitoring of Corsair AIO sensors.

That should fix the fan issue for some Corsair AIOs (H80i GT/v2, H110i GTX/H115i, H100i GTX and others made by Asetek). The problem is bad coding in Link that fights for AIO control with other programs. You can test if this worked by setting the fan speed in Link to 100%, if it doesn't fluctuate you are set and can change the curve to whatever. If that doesn't work or you're still having other issues then you probably still have a monitoring software interfering with the AIO/Link communications, find what it is and disable it.

yeah I mean it is pretty easy to get that much storage, my mom's computer has 12 ZBs
