8350 bottlenecking 1060?

Honestly, don't listen to people here, it won't bottleneck, period.

watch jazytwocents video on it, you will disagree.

edit- he uses a 1080 f*ck, i thought he did it with a 1060.

in gpu bound games 100% agree, it more CPU intensive games it will take a hit.

I'm still using my 8350 with a 7770 on mint Linux, plays Minecraft and runs my coding stuff so no point in upgrading just get. My 7770 is on the way out so that will be replaced long before the cpu

No thank you, the FX 8350 won't affect performance.

Yes it is bottle-necking. Was Ryzen out when you bought this system?

Well, it does well even in a game like ROTTR

believe me it will, 2nd gen i5s were better than the 8350, this is 2017 mate.

Is it 2017? What does that change? Optimisation of games? My CPU is an 8350 with an R9 290X, and the performance of it is very satisfactory at 1080p, although I don't play many CPU bound games, the GTX 1060 will surely hold up well.

this video is pointless either way, he isnt comparing it to any other cpu...

unfortunately yes, I did have a "expert pc buiilder" help me and said " 8350 and 1060 3gb is perfecto "

seeing now that ryzen is not the same as amd after he kinda explained that "ryzen is making moves so buy this 3 year old cpu" and I wasnt too educated at that point that I should have gotten ryzen instead.

Who cares, I don't compare my 8350 to other CPUs with my R9 card, the performance is completely fine, the performance is probably what you would expect from a GTX 1060 at 1080p anyway.

Don't worry 'bout that mate, it will last a year or two before needing to be upgraded, I mean, C2Qs are still usable with a 750 Ti (1080p) in 2017, right?

i just ran through some firestrike scores online and it came across that a 2500k paired with a 1060 3gb scored 5000 more points in firestrike, and although thats not the whole story, it paints a picture.

Nope, not at all, even Phenoms and Athlon X4s can still be used for a decent 1080p experience in 2017.

i cant find a video of both cpus been compared with a 1060 -_-.

you can ask the elitists they will tell you the same as im saying, a 8350 will bottleneck a 1060 as ive already mentioned not severe amounts, but it is present.

i dont know anyone who would buy a 8350 in 2017, but if the op wasnt educated, he cant be to blame.
