Samsung UN65KS8500FXZA help!!!

I have a Samsung UN65KS8500FXZA and all of a sudden i found this dark area on my screen, i tried different picture settings but the dark area is still there. Any help please?

Call Samsung if under warranty. That panel is fecked. 

 

If you are out of warranty, it's not worth getting it replaced. You should consider a replacement television. 

 

This doesn't bode well for me. I have this same tv in my living room. Fingers crossed...

I'm also interested in what happened to the panel, to know if it was an accident on my part or something. If anybody knows please let me know.

 

Thanks for the  suggestions, as soon as I find my receipt I'll have a talk to Samsung.

As things get old, components fail and die.  Statistically speaking, a minority will experience failures much sooner in their service life than others.  This is literally why warranties exist.

 

It's almost certain that you didn't do anything 'wrong' you just got unlucky but this is why you have a warranty.  Somebody has to get unlucky and today it's you.
