Dell 7567

Have a few questions about this laptop

Just recently bought this laptop and wanted to know if there were any tips to settings and updating things out of the box?

Which 2.5" hdd is compatible with this laptop/performs well?

Any particular settings for optimum performance?

thanks in advance!

if you don't have one already, an SSD is a must.

out of the box, if it comes with any bloatware, just re-install windows. easy way to get all the crap off your PC.

other than that, enjoy your new laptop.

The most common drive to go for is the HGST 1TB model seen here:

Are spinning drives reliable? I'm not very tech savy, but do all 2.5" drives have to be the spinning type or is there another type?

They can be Solid State but you're going to be looking at a much higher price.

The Potato Box:

AMD 5950X

EVGA K|NGP|N 3090

128GB 3600 CL16 RAM

The Scrapyard Warrior:

AMD 3950x

EVGA FTW3 2080Ti

64GB 3200 CL16 RAM

The HGST model I listed there is the same drive I've been using for about four years now without issue.

My laptop has two storage slots. One for the nvme pcie ssd and one for a 2.5" drive. What I'm wanting to know is if all 2.5" drives have to be the spinning kind? I've seen some that aren't?
